Let’s Get it Started ! 2/4/13

 

Dam ya’ll ! What a sick weekend of BBCF Badassery ! Lifestyle, culture and all ! As you know BooMBOX Brigade threw down amongst the most legitimate Team’s in all of SO CAL ! Word is bond ! Dogtown, Code 3, Valley and so many more teams of Beasts were in attendance ! There was no scaling or divisions, it was just a straight beatdown and test of the true Fitness ! We were just proud to be a part of such an event, especially considering that we have been affiliated less than 1 year ! These teams have been throwing down year after year at regional competitions and the games ! Top 35 would already be an accomplishment alongside this caliber of teams !

As usual BBCF was pretty thick in attendance, rockin the BBCF threads and showin’ our love for 4 of the members from our box we named, the BeachBOOM Brigade ! when we say BBCF is a TEAM, we mean it ! everyone plays a vital role in all we do ! regardless if you are cheering, spectating, running back and forth for us or whatever YOU are TEAM BBCF as much as those throwing down in the arena for us! They just might be a bit more uncomfortable ! LOL –

The Competition was nasty and like I said earlier, top 35 was something I would have been super stoked on.. But we were gunning for mid 2o’s or so. Wod after Wod the Brigade represented ! I was so proud to see what we have been working so hard on become reality. All our effort and ups and downs were coming into true form and I feel that all of our athletes, SHINED ! Mechanics, Consistency and Intensity were all there ! They were all working as one unit and THAT is what was so impressive ! We at bbCF always push Mechanics, Mechanics, Mechanics ! Then we work on the Consistency of that, and then FINALLY Intensity ! Our technique and foundation was evident and as the MC Yelled “BOOOOOOMBOX” the frickn’ crowd ROARED ! It was HOT DAM AMAZING ! .. Anyways, i’m way off here.. mind is boggling a bit still… So, after 3 wods (3 nasty wods that suck the soul out of you) we waited in anticipation of the final standings.. I was already on the way home texting Cags to see what was up and I got the word that we finished 19th ! I was like, WTF OMG HYFR ! Dude, seriously ! Yup that’s how stunned I was.. 19th in a field of teams stacked with games competitors and regional qualifying boxes ! WOW, Hell ya F’n RIGHT !

We have a long way to go, a lot of work to do, a lot of business to handle. We also have ups and downs and circumstances that will test us. However, through our COMMUNITY and the support of each and every Boomboxer we will continue to push forward. Again, I would like to thank everyone who came out in support of the crew ! I would like to thank everyone for all the texts and facebook messages that showed concern and anticipation for our team throughout the day ! I would like to thank all the other boxes that were there supporting us as well as pushing our athletes harder than they have ever been pushed in their lives ! I want to thank the crossfit community that was in attendance, you were all classic, respectable and stand up competitors ! Please continue to support the culture of crossfit and I promise you BBCF will be there in support of you !

What a great time at the 1st ever BBCF Yoga class ! It was definitely an eye opener to me and probably many of you that our flexibility is not where it should be. Even more so, imagine how much more efficient we can be or how much better our recovery would be if we continue to work on it ! Also, the fact that it will help minimize related injuries.. Wow, the future is looking great as we continue to implement lifestyle and wellness into our community! Thank you to Jenna for taking time out of her schedule to come out in support of BBCF ! Also, thank you to the 20+ members who came out to take their lives to the next level !
